UK Money Statistics: Every Figure We Publish

Every UK money statistic we hold, in one place. Some of these figures are our own, from surveys we run ourselves. The rest come from the ONS, HMRC, the Bank of England, the FCA and the DWP, and each page states where its numbers came from and when they were last checked.

Journalists and researchers are welcome to quote any of it with a link back. If you need a figure we have not published, or a specific breakdown, use the contact page and we will see what the data supports.

How we keep these current

Statistics pages go stale faster than anything else on a website, so each page here carries the reference period of its data rather than just a publish date. We review the full set every January, when most annual releases have landed, and again every May when our own survey re-runs.

If you spot a figure that has been superseded, tell us through the corrections page.
