Finimize breakdown

For this Finimize review, I downloaded and tested the service for a year and it’s safe to say I love it!

Finimize prides itself on being the ‘world’s best finance community’. Big statements, but after some digging, they are certainly a contender.

Their platform offers a range of insights and tools that can help you better understand the stock market and your personal finances.

As the world moves into bite-sized content everywhere we look Finimize is perfect for people looking to consume content on the go.

They break down a 15-minute data-heavy article into a quick one-minute snapshots meaning Finimize is literally putting time back in my day.

That’s certainly something I can get on board with, but how good is it?

I’ve rated Finimize a whopping 5 out of 5 using our six pillar system which we use to rate all our reviewed apps.

Personally any app that’s saving me time and providing consistent high quality value is an absolute winner.

I use Finimize to keep my finger on the pulse rather than full investment decisions but it’s daily digest emails are perfect for that.

The paid options include various features:

  • Three-minute reads on financial news and what that means for you
  • The opportunity to share ideas with a worldwide financial community
  • Practical guides and financial analysis
  • Up-to-date financial news stories
  • Investment basics – advice on how to get started
  • Advice on how to set up a portfolio & make smart investment choices

Finimize review - What is the Finimize community?

The Finimize website and app have a range of features aimed at giving people financial knowledge and education – preparing them for making the right financial decision.

Not only does their website and app feature the latest financial headlines, but it also provides news in bite-size chunks, making it easy for everyone to read, digest and understand.

From here, they enable people to pick up on financial trends, investment ideas, and opportunities they may have missed or hadn’t had the time to read.

With a range of private groups and forums, it gives users the chance to network with other smart investors to swap ideas and even arrange joint ventures on the right projects.

Making financial decisions and taking financial advice when it comes to investments is never easy, especially when you rely on your investment to do well.

Finimize aims to take away some of these worries and ensure that those who want it have the knowledge they need to make well-informed and educated financial decisions.

Main Features

Finimize offers a daily newsletter for people looking into financial news and investment opportunities.

It doesn’t necessarily list investment opportunities but instead allows people to keep on top of financial news and goings on and then use this knowledge to make their own informed decision.

This information can be accessed via an easy-to-read newsletter, which they say can be read in less than 3-minutes a day.

They also have an app that has more specialised market news as well as access to expert-led discussion groups and information on up to 50 investment topics – which you can read about or listen to via an audio reading.

Company Overview

Finimize is described as an information platform for modern investors.

Bloomberg describes them as a technology company concentrating on offering software and technology services in the form of financial news, which they provide to a global audience.

The idea behind Finimize is to offer a community to those who wish to invest in new opportunities – they also work with several partners to help this community grow.

Their website allows people to sign up to receive their financial news and advice or if you like you can join the likes of Delta, Wealthify and Minted.

Finimize initially started as a daily newsletter but quickly expanded into something more.

The growth of the company happened via an online community and forum-based set-up where the company shared information and resources and encouraged others to do the same.

Although you need to be a paid subscriber to access a majority of their services, their website does have a comprehensive guides section which offers simple, to-the-point resources that anyone can access even if they’re not a member of the Finimize community.

Community focused learning

Finimize initially started as a daily financial newsletter, but this has expanded to be so much more – including a busy community which helps with learning and education within the world of financial investments.

One of the first things the company did was invest in setting up a community forum, sharing their own knowledge and encouraging other people to do the same.

They knew that customer behaviour liked being able to share knowledge, get inspiration from others and seek support from people in a similar position to them.

They have even taken this offline on occasion and had things like Finimize Community Meet-ups, where people come together in real life to discuss all things investment.

The online community has grown at such a rate that it now boasts of having over one million members – meaning that you can get help and advice on pretty much any financial topic under the sun.

Not only are there experts there sharing their knowledge, but the opportunity for you to talk through your thoughts and ideas with people on the same level as you – an instant support network for all of your financial investment decisions.

Education for all

As well as their community-focused learning, they have teamed up with people such as Change in order to launch educational campaigns to celebrate things like Women’s History Month – ensuring that as many people as possible have access to investment news and education.

Outside of their online community, they have a range of topics you can read about instantly. They have over 2000 readings, recordings and live events that you can re-watch whenever you want. Not bad for the commute!

I think the recordings are great because they’re accessible to members all the time, allowing you to learn at your own pace and at a time that suits you.

I listened to their recordings, similar to how I consume podcasts, when I’m on long journeys or have time to relax.

I found the overall quality superb and after nearly ten years investing still picked up some new tips and tricks.

All classes are broken down into categories via tabs on the app, so finding something to read or listen to shouldn’t be too much of a struggle.

The Daily Digest

Whether you access Finimize via their website or their app, you’ll get the option to sign up for their daily digest newsletter.

This offers you the chance to receive daily news and information related to the world of finance – they aim it to be financial news you’ll enjoy reading!

Not only that, but their news is designed to be delivered in bite-size chunks.

Finimize says that you’ll need less than 3-minutes a day to be able to read their whole newsletter and bring yourself up to date with everything you need to know about the markets.

Making decisions on where to invest your finances is a big decision, so having knowledge under your belt can only be a good thing.

Finimize cost

If you want to try Finimize for size before you decide if it is for you then you’ll be pleased to know that they have a free 7-day trial for anyone that wants to sign up.

If you cancel before it renews, then there will be no charge. If you continue to be a member, you’ll roll onto their Premium Subscription package – where you can pay for this monthly or annually.

finimize cost

The cost of their package does vary depending on where you are in the world, however, to join in the UK currently, you’ll pay £59.99/year (£4.17/month) or £7.99 a month if you prefer paying monthly.

You select either option after testing it out on a 7 day trial.

They also invite students to get in touch and show their valid student ID for a promo code that will discount the subscription cost.

What customers are saying?

A Finimize review wouldn’t be right without a dig into what the public are saying. A quick search online shows that Finimize has overall good reviews and people happy to share their positive experiences.

Comments on their TrustPilot page include “the insight reports and live sessions with experts are just some of the resources I value” and “News is told in an engaging way and highlights important data points which may lead to investment ideas and approaches.”

finimize trustpilot

Finimize has been featured in several mainstream newspapers with various positive headlines, including plenty of those that have chosen to invest in the financial website.

Sky News featured it multiple times throughout 2021; even the Scottish Financial Review website gave it a feature last year.

In general, reviews for the website and app are good, although of course, as you would expect for a platform of this nature, there are a splattering of negative reviews too.

However, that is to be expected when it comes to finances and investments. It’s pretty much impossible for any company to leave every single customer feeling happy.

If you enjoy longer-form content, then this isn’t for you, so I would expect to see these types of reviews mixed in.

Conclusion - Finimize Review

I think Finimize is an excellent idea and has been executed really well. There’s clearly a big market for this as people are trying to learn but equally save time.

Finimize are solving this issue when it comes to finance. I wonder if there’s a spin off into other sectors on the horizon because I could see this working in many different verticals.

We hope you enjoyed our Finimize review and be sure to let us know how you get on with the program in the comments below.
