Lots of people choose to print on-demand phone cases, t-shirts, and mugs. But, if you want an easier route, then selling prints is very popular too.

Blogging regularly features in TV shows and films, but it is also a great way to make money through passive income, especially if you go down the affiliate marketing route.

Starting a blog does however take time and you can expect to start earning income from a blog after 12 months of solid work.

Blogging isn’t all passive as you will need to maintain your blog to keep revenue coming in but it will earn you money 24 hours of the day.

Thanks to platforms such as WordPress, creating a website for your new blog is nice and simple, then all you need to do is create the content.

Creating content can be very tedious, however if you centre your blog around a topic that you like, then the process will be a lot more pleasant.

5. Build An App

There was a time when you had to be a real tech whizz to make an app, but now this process is a lot easier.

There are all sorts of platforms that you can use to help you build your app, and as long as you keep the idea simple, then the process should be fairly straightforward.

Some of the best performing apps financially are extensions to existing apps. Such as apps that provide fun filters for your camera that you can use with messaging apps.

But one of the easiest routes is to choose a game. Just think about how successful Flappy Birds was, and how simple that app was in principle.

Building an app is a great way to make passive income, but it is only a good route if you already have an idea in mind. Otherwise you might waste a lot of your time brainstorming.

The royalties do tend to be small figures, but overtime this can really add up and generate a substantial passive income.
