Oh My Dosh Review - Company Overview

Before we get in too deep with any review, we always like to take a look at the company behind what’s been offered. This Oh My Dosh review is no different.

The Oh My Dosh website was officially launched in February 2018 and so has now been operating for just over 4 years.

While this may still make it a relative newcomer, proof of its success, so far, can be seen by the growing number of offers that are available to members.

The company behind Oh My Dosh is Technology Submission Limited. This is a British company based in the county of Kent.

Of course, you want to know all about the earning opportunities that Oh My Dosh has to offer. However, just before we get there, it’s important to take a look at the company to make sure that it’s safe.

After all, no one wants to be a victim of the next internet scam. The good news with Oh My Dosh is that it’s certainly safe and trustworthy.

Okay, so four years may not make it the longest established business on the internet, but there is more to this company than just the Oh My Dosh site.

Technology Submission Limited has been around since 2002, and for many years it also ran the successful 20 Cogs site. This was a website that also allowed members to earn money from home.

When it comes to establishing the trustworthiness of any company, it’s always a good idea to take a look at what other people are saying and what their experiences have been.

A quick look over at Trustpilot will lead to you finding numerous positive reviews, all of which inspire confidence to give Oh My Dosh a go.

How does Oh My Dosh work?

Oh My Dosh is all about getting paid to try out products and services. No matter what sector you look at, there is a tremendous amount of competition.

That means businesses are doing everything they can to get you to try out what they have, and they even go as far as paying for the privilege of having you sign up.

You may wonder why any company would happily hand over cash just to try out their product or service.

Well, the thing is that these companies have confidence in what they offer, and they’re convinced that once you’ve tried something, you’ll be sticking around and will be a lifetime customer.

For companies to really benefit and to get huge numbers of people trying their goods, they need the help of companies such as Oh my Dosh.

Oh My Dosh sends huge volumes of people over to these companies, and the majority of them will go on to sign up.

Once they do, Oh My Dosh gets paid for each of them. You earn money because Oh My Dosh will share its money with you.

A basic example of how this could work would be to take a look at Amazon, and If Amazon is looking to attract more people to sign up to Prime, it may then pay Oh My dosh £3 for every person that it sends across who signs up for a free trial.

When Oh My Dosh gets this payment from Amazon, it sends a percentage to you.

It’s a very similar model to businesses like Research Tribe who I would consider a direct competitor in the UK.

Tips for setting up an Oh My Dosh account

With this Oh My Dosh review, we want to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible if you sign up. Signing up is extremely easy, and once you’ve verified your email address, you’re up and running.

However, before you dive straight in, there are some steps to consider that will make your life that much easier:

Set up a new email address

If you have an email address that you use for personal reasons, the last thing you want is for it to be bombarded with spam. You’ll need to share your email address when signing up for new offers.

While the companies involved are all big names, the more you share your email, the bigger the risk that your email will be sold on.

Creating something like a free Gmail account can make sure that doesn’t become an issue.

A new mobile number

The same risks are here with your email address; no one wants to be bombarded with spammy texts and calls. The simple solution is a cheap PAYG sim, which can keep your real number hidden away from the companies you join.

Track your offers

With Oh My Dosh, you will be signing up for new customer offers. Once these offers expire, you’ll be moved up and will be paying full price.

To avoid this from happening, unless, of course, you want it to, a simple spreadsheet can be the solution.

This can be used to list the start and end dates of offers and ensure that you have plenty of time to cancel before you’re billed.

The offers available

Oh, My Dosh has numerous categories with offers, making it easy to search for the kind of offer you’d like to sign up for. One thing that’s worth pointing out here is that there are lots (and lots) of casino-type offers.

If this causes you any major issues and is something that you’re not comfortable with, you could see yourself missing out. If that’s the case, it may even be worth looking away from Oh My Dosh.

Here’s a full look at the categories that you can choose from:

  • Hot offers – those that are the most popular right now
  • No spend offers – these tend to pay less, but you don’t need to spend a single penny upfront
  • Paid surveys – in truth, you get paid much more for surveys elsewhere, and we wouldn’t recommend doing them here
  • Lightning payouts – get paid within three working days once your balance reaches £10
  • High earners – offers that pay up to £50. many of these are linked to gambling sites where you’ll need to create an account and make a deposit
  • Bingo and gambling – just as the name suggests
  • Bundles – Oh My Dosh will bundle several offers together and, as a bonus for taking them all, you get paid at a higher rate
  • Utilities and telecoms – get paid to switch.
  • Finance – a range of insurance products and financial apps
  • Health and fitness – get cash back when shopping at the likes of JD Sports and Boots
  • TV packages – the likes of Sky and Amazon Prime will happily pay you for giving their TV packages a try
  • Trials – sign up, usually for free, for a variety of services on a trial basis and get paid
  • Referrals – get paid for referring friends to sign up with Oh My Dosh

What we like about Oh my Dosh?

As we approach the end of our Oh My Dosh review, it’s worth summing up some of the things that we really liked here:

  • There are plenty of offers to sign up for
  • Many offers won’t cost you a penny to sign up for
  • There is the chance to earn reasonable amounts of cash (£200 – £300 is realistic in a month)
  • Oh My Dosh also runs a daily prize draw where one member wins £10
  • The referral program is certainly generous. You can earn £5 when anyone you refer cashes out at least £10
  • The app and program is very easy to use and support is available if required

What we don't like?

To keep this Oh my Dosh review balanced, it’s worth also summing up some of the things that weren’t so great:

  • The surveys are poorly paid and not worth the effort. There are plenty of alternatives that can lead to you being paid more
  • You need to remember to cancel many of the offers otherwise, you’ll be billed for them and wipe out your profit
  • It takes a while before the money reaches you. Oh My Dosh needs to be paid before it will pay you, and this can cause delays Payments should reach you within 45 days

Conclusion

Whilst the app certainly isn’t perfect it does have a lot going for it and if you have the spare time it can be a great way to earn some extra cash and some passive income

What I would like to see is some improvements to the user experience and some higher paying items added to incentivise people a little more.

I’d also like to see reminders added to cancel offers so you’re not left holding the bag if you miss a cancellation by a day or two.

That being said, can’t knock anything that makes you money and even better when you don’t even need to leave the house!
